There is an escalator and stairs just before the elevator entrance that leads to the "sightseeing/shuttle bus stop", but you cannot go to the "sightseeing/shuttle bus stop" even if you get off from here. please note.
You can go to the "sightseeing/shuttle bus stop" from the escalator and stairs behind the elevator door.
When you get off the elevator, the sightseeing/shuttle bus stop is right in front of you.

The location of the image is in front of the Shinkansen South Exit ticket gate on the 3rd floor of Sendai Station, near the Midori no Madoguchi. From here, follow the arrow direction and turn right in front of the restaurant at the end.
Turn right in front of the restaurant and you will see the escalator going down. Take this escalator down to the second floor.
After getting off the escalator, go left along the slanted passage.
This is a picture of the place where I got off the escalator from another angle. Go down the escalator and you will see the green arrow. Proceed in the direction of the arrow through the slanted passage.
The location of the image is the pedestrian deck at the west exit of Sendai Station. If you enter Sendai station from the 2nd floor entrance of the arrow, it is easy to find because you just go straight through the east-west free passage.
Follow the guidance sign above your head and proceed toward the east exit bus pool (sightseeing/shuttle bus stop).
The East-West Free Passage is long, so it will take some time to pass through. Keep going straight.
When you reach the atrium area, you can finally see the outside. Keep going straight.
